New blogging platform

I’ve just heard about http://www.thoughts.com/, a blogging platform that I hadn’t tried before, so I signed up for an account. You can view my profile at http://www.thoughts.com/chrisr63. There’s a link to my new blog on there. Please leave me a comment or two, particularly if you have already have a thoughts.com free blog.

Thoughts is more than just a blogging platform though. There are lots of social networking opportunities too. You can link to friends, upload and share photos, podcasts and video. There’s also a built in mailing system allowing you to communicate with friends and other members.

There’s a real community feeling about the site. The forums are well used (there were over 3000 online at the time when I checked) and many of the members seem to be very active.

Making use of http://www.thoughts.com/ should also be a good way of promoting your other sites and blogs. As it becomes more popular and you get more friends, the number of backlinks to your sites will increase as will the flow of traffic and search engine popularity.
