A bit of a rant
Published March 14th, 2008Slightly off topic, but I have to have my say about the budget which took place here in the UK yesterday.
Unfortunately it did nothing for first time buyer mortgages, nothing for families, nothing for business and nothing for me other than putting up my tax bill!
All of the commentators pretty much agree. The Money Magic website summarises things nicely regarding the situation first time buyers find themselves in. It’s going to be a difficult time over the next few months for everyone here in the UK, particularly with the Government’s poor handling of the economy recently!
It’ll be interesting to see how the mortgage market develops with the international banking problems coupled with the UK specific issues. Let’s hope there’s not another run on a bank resulting in even more difficulties.
