It’s Gold Cup week!
Published March 10th, 2008I’ve written before about how I enjoy horse racing. Well this week is, in my opinion, the bext week for horse racing in the year. That’s because it’s Cheltenham Gold Cup week here in the UK.
I love the spectacle of the Cheltenham Festival which culminates with the Gold Cup on Friday afternoon. It promises to be a great race with the match up of two Paul Nicholl’s trained runners, reigning champion Kauto Star and Denman. I’m really looking forward to the race and will be taking a late lunch so that I can watch.
I’ll also be taking advantage of online betting through Betfair. I think Kauto Star will win, but the price is a bit short for me at the moment, so I’ll be looking at some of the other races where there are better prices. I particularly like the handicap chases as they give good betting opportunities.
If you have never seen the Cheltenham Festival before, take a look. As I say it’s a great spectacle and good fun whether you are having a bet or not.
