A free path through the marketing minefield
Published February 19th, 2008One thing that I’m becoming increasingly aware of as I build up my online business is to make sure I take advantage of the full marketing mix, and not just rely on online methods. I’ve seen a number of courses and ebooks that claim to teach you about on- and offline marketing strategies and techniques, but most of them are massively overpriced.
I was pleased, therefore, to find a new site, Marketing Minefield, that explains small business marketing for free. The site is an excellent reference point covering everything from outdoor advertising to sales techniques and public relations, as well as online strategies.
The website costs nothing to access, and features a great monthly newsletter which comes with 50 low cost marketing and advertising ideas sent straight to your inbox. The owners have just set up a small business forum so that visitors can share ideas.
The site is aimed at startup and small businesses, although much of it is relevant to marketers from any size of company.
The Marketing Minefield site is a nice simple design and is very easy to naviagate, with no major distractions on the pages.
As a marketeer by profession, I could easily relate to most of the content on the site. It was great to see it grouped together in one place and even better that it cost me nothing to access! Free stuff marketing minefield offline marketing online marketing Resources small business marketing
