Patriots or Giants - what do you think?
Published January 30th, 2008I wrote earlier about the Superbowl, which got me thinking about who was going to win. Although I’m based in the UK, I’m a big (American) Football fan and have followed the Steelers since 1981. Unfortunately, they didn’t make it to the Superbowl this year; that honour goes to the Patriots and Giants.
The Patriots are big favourites, being unbeaten all season, and I think they’ll win. The Giants are improving quicky. They are certainly better now than they were, when I was lucky enough to see them live at Wembley Stadium in October, but I still don’t think they are strong enough to beat Tom Brady and co.
A quick look at betfair confirms that the Patriots are short-priced favourites to win by at least 12 points. I’m not so sure that the Patriots will win by such a big score, as they have tended to turn the screw with opponents up until now, but if they get ahead this time, they may relax and enjoy the moment. Coupled with Tom Brady’s injury which may restrict him somewhat, I’m going for a close win for the Patriots.
Whilst I mention betfair, they are worth checking out if you like a flutter. I’ve been a member for a number of years and have had some great fun with the site. If you are sensible, using Betfair can add some real excitement to your sport watching.
