  • How to make your website visitors happy?

    Published December 18th, 2007

Thanks to guest writer Anay Kamat for this interesting article about how to keep your website visitors happy.

No matter how good your website is, and no matter how good it looks, but you won’t be able to make any money from it unless you have lots and lots of visitors. When thousands of people will visit your site, chances are that only few of them will click on your ads or make some purchase for which you will be paid by advertisers. While focusing on getting lot of new visitors, you should also focus on retaining your visitors so that they would visit your site again and again. If your visitors are happy with your site, then they would like to visit your site again and in this way, your traffic will increase exponentially. Thus you should know how to satisfy your visitors and how to make them happy.

While talking about visitors, people think only about human visitors like you and me. But you should remember that search engine spiders visit your site too. While creating your website, you should make sure that you design it in such a way that it is liked by people as well as search engines. Search engines will drive lot of new visitors to your site and if they like your site, then they will keep coming back. In this way, your chances of making money will increase. But how to make them happy? Well, the solution is pretty simple. Simply provide them what they need and they will be happy. Let’s see how you can make search engines happy.

Search engines are in constant search of new and unique content. If you are dependent on PLR articles then you should make sure that you take time to change those articles so that they will look unique. I prefer writing my own articles, but for many people this is not possible and they have to rely on PLR articles. Thus, make sure you rewrite them before you put them on your site. Search engines also look out for sites which are updated frequently. This is one reason why blogs are visited by spiders more often than any other websites. Thus, make sure that you regularly add new and unique content to your site.

Just like search engines, human visitors also like to read new and unique content. But there is one difference. No matter how new and unique your content is, people won’t like to read it unless it’s of any practical use to them. For example, most of the people would like to read an article on “How to make money online?” than an article about “The definition of VRE”. You should also make sure that the content belongs to the theme of your site. If you visit a site related to stomach exercises but has an article on making money with adsense, you will get confused, won’t you? So select or write only those articles whose topic belongs to the theme of your site.

Website owners should aim at having happy and returning visitors. If search engine spiders are happy with your site, then they will visit your site frequently. This will get your site indexed quickly. Search engines can provide you with lots of targeted visitors absolutely free. Having unique content with useful information will help in retaining those visitors. This will increase your chances of making profits from your website. Think about it and start focusing on making your website visitors happy.
