Back from holiday with a new focus
Published September 6th, 2007Well, I got back from my summer holiday last weekend and have spent the last few days sorting out stuff at home and wading through over 1500 emails, most of them spam and junk! There were another 3000 spam emails in my spam box too - goes to show how much crap there is out there!
I went with my family on a driving holiday to France which involved a few days at EuroDisney, a week camping and a week at a villa, which was great fun, even if the weather wasn’t great. It seems the Atlantic coast in France was getting similar weather to here in the UK! I managed to do a fair amount of reading including my sons copy of the latest Harry Potter!
Getting back and switching on my laptop, going through the emails, thinking about family and work committments has made me rethink my online strategy and focus more on completing projects.
I’ve written about various projects I’ve been working on over the past few months, many of which are ongoing. I’ve decide to focus on completing the outstanding work before starting something new! So over the next few weeks, I’ll be concentrating on:
1. Uploading new stock to my football programmes website, Programme Collector.
2. Reviewing my PPC campigns with Google and MSN to maximise affiliate sales, using the techniques outlined in Perry Marshall’s excellent book ‘Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords - How to access 10 million people in 10 minutes’
3. Finish my trial website using the techniques Jonathan Leger and Matt Callen used to create a new niche site - read my blog post about it here.
4. Continue developing my Landscaping Ideas blog, based on the ideas in Rob Benwell’s Blogging to the Bank 2.0
That should keep me going for a while. I’ll report back regularly (I hope) when I’ve managed to tick some of these off of my to do list!
