Earning with PayPerPost
Published July 6th, 2007I’ve written a fair amount recently about profiting from blogging. I mentioned in a recent post that I had found a list of potential revenue streams and that I’d give some of them a try.
Well the first one I am trying is PayPerPost, which was highly recommended by a number of bloggers when I did my research. Basically, PayPerPost is a neat way to place unobtrusive ads on blogs.
The system is simple - you sign up and register your blog. Once it has been approved, a number of opportunities are made available on which you can blog, and in return get paid! The number of opportunities available will depend on the nature of your blog, it’s page rank and Alexa ranking. Obviously, the better ranked your site, the more advertisers are going to be interested, and the more you can command per post.
The interface works well and there’s plenty of guidance and support for new ‘Posties’, as members are known. You can also choose to donate your earnings to charity. There’s also an affiliate programme if you are interested.
So far, I’m very impressed with PayPerPost. I do recommend that you use it sensibly though. Only select opportunities that are relevant to your blog and check out the product or service before you write about it - you need to maintain credibility with your readers.
