I was researching information on how to monetize my blog and came across this interesting article at Problogger. Darren, the guy who runs Problogger, makes his living from blogging, so his ideas are worth listening to.

In short, his top 6 recommendations, with my comments appended are:

1. Chitika
	I haven’t tried yet but have heard good reports.
2. Google Adsense
	I use Adsense on most of my sites and it is a decent revenue generator
3. Text Link Ads
	Again, I haven’t personally used them before, but have heard good reports. You need a site with good traffic and PR Rank to be accepted.
4. Amazon Associates
	I use Amazon on a couple of my sites and have generated some decent revenue. I use both Amazon.com and Amazon UK depending on the nature of the site
5. Private Ad Deals
I usually include an ‘advertising’ page on my websites, where people can contact me to advertise. If I’m honest, it hasn’t generated too much interest, other that the occasional reciprocal link request.
6. Affiliate Programmes
I use a range of affiliate programmes on my sites and blog, including those from Clickbank, Affiliate Future, Commission Junction, PayDotCom, AffiliateWindow and Webgains
