Not all web hosts are the same…
Published May 3rd, 2007I’ve had varying experiences with web hosts. My first hosting package was one I bought on eBay for a whole $11 for ever (no recurring fees or anything!). At the time, I thought this was a fantastic deal, but I’ve since learnt that not all web hosts are the same. My first host started well, but over time there were some system outages, my SQL database broke, I lost data, my Cron jobs stopped working, and customer support became more and more sketchy.
I subsequently moved my hosting to Hostgator, who I’ve found to be very reliable. They are a big provider and offer a range of packages to suit all needs and budgets.
If you are planning on doing any sort of business on the web, it’s worth getting your host right before you start. On this call, you’ll discover the secrets to finding a good webhost even though there are hundreds to choose from. You can listen to the call here.
